Los datos de la UIT muestran que más del 75% de la población mundial total tiene una suscripción activa de banda ancha móvil y más del 57% de los hogares tiene acceso a Internet en casa. Sin embargo, la brecha digital persiste. Si bien casi todas las áreas urbanas del mundo están cubiertas por una red de banda ancha móvil, persisten muchas brechas en las áreas rurales. La brecha de género sigue siendo una realidad, y aún menos mujeres que hombres se benefician del uso de Internet.<br/>Este informe analiza las tendencias, el progreso y los desafíos de la transformación digital en la región de Europa, que alberga a 46 Estados miembros de la UIT y una población de 686 millones de personas. |
