Este artículo ofrece una descripción del trabajo en plataformas digitales en España y propone una discusión de los retos frente a las oportunidades que este tipo de empleo menos tradicional supone en términos de la igualdad de género en el mercado de trabajo. Aunque las mujeres pueden ver en este tipo de actividades una autonomía y flexibilidad que no obtienen en el empleo estándar, en la práctica el peso de las mujeres en plataformas es inferior al de los hombres. Además, para un mayor porcentaje de las mujeres que trabajan en plataforma los ingresos de esta actividad son bajos y no necesariamente un complemento a otra actividad laboral, lo que conduce a una brecha salarial de género algo menor pero aún persistente. |
