Este estudio evalúa los dos primeros informes de situación del Banco Central Europeo sobre el euro digital. A lo largo del informe se argumenta que es socialmente deseable tener un euro digital. Sin embargo, el diseño previsto de esta moneda digital hace que el caso de su uso pueda ser cuestionable desde el punto de vista de los consumidores, en parte porque ofrecerá menos comodidad que otros medios digitales de pago proporcionados comercialmente. Este estudio presenta algunas características de diseño deseables de un euro digital que pueden fomentar su amplia adopción. |
