Digital transformation is enabled by strong IT competences and professionalism - at individual and team level - and digital organisational capabilities - at enterprise level. They are both indispensable and mutually reinforcing. This initiative aims to better understand how to increase the competences of individuals in tandem with the collective organisational capabilities of enterprises, with a particular focus on SMEs, to achieve digital capability excellence. The objective is also to promote IT organisational and management frameworks1 together with IT professionalism in support of the digital transformation of enterprises in Europe. This report provides the insights collected during the research on three main topics: - Part A - How organisations shape their digital transformation and the value of certifications; - Part B – A proposal for a - Digital Capability Reference Framework - as well as the in-depth research into how organisations use and value IT organisational and management frameworks, and the possible conjunction with IT professionalism building blocks based on the European e-Competence Framework; - Part C - Latest statistics and forecasts on the evolution of the demand and supply of IT professionals and e-leaders in Europe.
