La economía de plataforma está formada por un tipo de empleo que utiliza un sistema en línea para que organizaciones o personas accedan a otras organizaciones o individuos para resolver problemas o proporcionar servicios. Durante la última década esta es una de las principales fuerzas disruptivas de los mercados laborales europeos, que, además, está atrayendo a un número cada vez mayor de mujeres. Este informe investiga por qué ellas solicitan este tipo de empleos y hace una comparación con las motivaciones entre géneros. Mientras las mujeres se unen a las plataformas para obtener un ingreso adicional y porque les permite más flexibilidad, los hombres ven en este tipo de empleo oportunidades para trabajar globalmente y expandir su base de clientes. Al mismo tiempo, se señala que las plataformas en línea parecen proporcionar a las mujeres un vínculo con el mercado laboral que potencialmente puede evitar su retiro de la fuerza laboral durante las diferentes etapas de la vida. |
